Tourist attractions in Gunsan

Saemangeum Sea Dyke

Saemangeum Dyke, with its total length reaching 33.9km, is recorded to be the longest seawall in the world. It is part of the reclaiming land project meant to expand Korean territory.

Gunsan Country Club (golf course)

The largest domestic golf field is 4.2m2 long and features 81 holes connected by ponds. Gunsan C.C is the only golf field in the world that is floating above a lake.

Modern History Museum

This museum demonstrates how Gunsan acted as a trade port and was at the center of marine distribution in the past. Modern cultural heritage is displayed inside the museum.

Gogunsan archipelago

Seonyudo is the central island, which makes up Gogunsan archipelago. This island is known for its secretive places where ancient hermits hang out because of its natural beauty.

Wolmyung Park

Located in the middle of Gunsan city, cherry blossoms and camellia flowers in this park are fully bloomed. During the fall season, autumn leaves attract visitors and citizens. On the mountain top, both Geumgang river and the West sea come into sight.

Eunpa Lakeshore Park

The road that runs up from the park entrance is lined with cherry trees that create a breathtaking tunnel of pink flowers each spring. Mulbit Bridge, a landmark of the Eunpa tourist site, offers an impressive view of the Music Fountain and nightscape. At the park, you’ll also find an inline skating area, a waterfront stage, and a lotus flower garden.
